염화칼슘은 도로, 고속도로, 주차장에서 제빙제 및 윤활제로 널리 사용됩니다. 물과 접촉하면 열을 방출하고 얼음 형성을 줄입니다.
염화칼슘은 흡수 능력이 강해 질소, 산소, 수소, 이산화황과 같은 가스에 효과적인 건조제입니다.
시멘트 첨가제로서 염화칼슘은 분해 온도를 약 40°C 정도 낮추어 시멘트 생산을 향상시킵니다.
냉장에서 염화칼슘 용액은 냉매와 염수 역할을 하여 어는점을 -20~-30°C로 낮춰줍니다.
콘크리트의 경화를 촉진하고 건축시 모르타르 강도를 향상시킵니다 .
